Introduction

Note: This section replaces 'Climate Change: The Basics'

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing our world today – and universities have a vital role to play in shaping the response. At the University of Greater Manchester, environmental sustainability is rooted in our commitment to putting students at the heart of everything we do, from learning and teaching to campus life and community impact.

This tutorial introduces how we are taking meaningful, collective action to protect the planet, reduce inequality and prepare students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Tutorial Accessibility

We’ve built this LEAP Online tutorial to be as easy to use as possible. You can use the Read Aloud feature in Microsoft Edge to listen to the content on each page, and all our videos have transcripts available through the Closed Captions button [CC] within the video player. If you’d like a printed version, you can print individual pages. But before you do, please think about whether you really need to print — going digital is often the more sustainable choice for the environment.
