Introduction

Academic presentations in higher education come in different formats, for example, oral talks, posters, and storyboards. Being asked to deliver an oral presentation can take many students out of their comfort zone. However, learning the skills involved in delivering a good presentation will mean that you face the task with confidence. Poster presentations and storyboards add a creative twist, letting you mix visuals, text, and sometimes multimedia to tell your story.

Explore the tutorials below to discover how to share your ideas clearly and confidently while retaining academic integrity and rigour. Don't forget to complete the assessment for each tutorial to earn a LEAP Online digital badge.

Tutorial Accessibility

We’ve built these LEAP Online tutorials to be as easy to use as possible. You can use the Read Aloud feature in Microsoft Edge to listen to the content on each page, and all our videos have transcripts available through the Closed Captions button [CC] within the video player.

If you’d like a printed version, you can print individual pages. But before you do, please think about whether you really need to print — going digital is often the more sustainable choice for the environment.
